Your privacy is our highest priority
Data I/O Corporation respects your privacy. We do not sell, rent,
loan or transfer any personal information regarding our customers
to any unrelated third parties. Any information you give us about
yourself is held with the utmost care and security and will not
be used in ways to which you have not consented.
Information collected on our Web site is collected and used by
Data I/O Corporation and no others. Data I/O will not collect
any personal information about anyone except when specifically
and knowingly provided by him or her. Examples of personally identifiable
information include full name, home address, e-mail address, and
phone number.
Use of Information
Data I/O uses collected information for three main purposes. First,
we collect information to improve our site by seeing which areas,
features and products are most popular. Second, we collect information
in order to personalize the site for our customers. For example,
in the future, we may recommend products or features you may like
based on what you have liked in the past. Last, we collect information
to enable customers to conduct transactions on our Web site and
to participate in sweepstakes, contests and other activities.
If we want to collect information for other purposes, we will
inform you when we collect the information.
On occasion, Data I/O may also share nonpersonal, summary information
regarding our customers with unrelated third parties (for example,
we publicly disclose the aggregate number of registered users
of our Web site). However, Data I/O does not share any personal
information about any particular customer with unrelated third
parties.
We also utilize the information gathered from you to provide you
with additional proactive customer support. For example, if you
have difficulty searching for articles in our Knowledge Base or
other support areas, we may use the information provided to contact
you regarding any of these problems and offer further assistance.
Cookies
Data I/O uses a feature of your Internet Web browser called a "cookie"
as a management tool to keep track of various types of information
as you navigate our site. Cookies are files that your Web browser
places on your computer's hard drive. We use these cookie files
to keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, to tell
us whether you have visited Data I/O previously, and to improve
your overall navigation of our site.
Cookies can also be used to help save and retrieve passwords used
on the Data I/O site and other preferences. That way, you won't
have to reenter information upon every new visit to the Data I/O
Web site. Data I/O does not and cannot use cookies to retrieve
personal information about you from your computer.
Security
At Data I/O, part of our job is to make sure your shopping experience
is safe and secure. That means your credit card is safe, your
personal information is safe, and your password is safe. We use
the latest encryption technologies, rigorous password protections,
and stringent limits on the number of people who have access to
your information, all to guard against unauthorized access to
the data.
For your reference, we will store only the last four digits of
your credit card number on our servers so you/we can determine
which method was used to make a purchase. Your credit card number
is not, and never will be, stored on our servers.
